Claire is a PhD candidate at the University of New South Wales supervised by Professor Jesmond Sammut (UNSW) and Dr Laura Parker (UNSW/NSW DPIRD). She has a broad interest in marine ecosystems, ecology and conservation. Claire is currently researching how to breed resilience to warming environmental conditions in oysters, to improve the security of Australia’s seafood aquaculture industry and safeguard the essential ecosystem services and cultural connections that oysters provide.
