Dr Rachel Pears has been in a senior research role at the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) since 2022, and is the Risk Management Coordinator for the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program (RRAP). She has worked in the fields of marine park management, policy, marine science, and fisheries for 25+ years. She is currently leading a team working on reef intervention risk, which aims to provide information to support decision making on coral reef management.
