Kate Hofmeister is a conservation biologist in threatened species conservation and policy for Sunshine Coast Council. Kate leads TurtleCare Sunshine Coast, a large citizen science program improving the conservation of nesting loggerhead and green turtles. Kate leads the conservation of terrestrial species such as Koala, and collaborates with research institutions to improve wildlife management and threatened species recovery.
