- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.

Ankje is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Marine Ecosystem Research at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. She is passionate about the health of marine coastal ecosystems and the way people use, interact with and care for the marine environment. During her PhD she developed an interest in using population genetic data to assess the health of populations and inform management decisions. Her PhD project focuses on the spatial and temporal patterns in clonal and genetic diversity of seagrass populations and the implications of these patterns for resilience and will be completed this year. In the context of future employment: due to her background in both art and science she loves projects that contain a large component of field and lab work and/or science communication!
