Professor Kylie Pitt is a marine ecologist with specialist expertise in jellyfish ecology. Her research focuses on understanding the population dynamics of jellyfishes from local to global scales, their responses to changing ocean conditions, and their interactions with people and coastal industries. She leads the Griffith Sea Jellies Research Laboratory, a state-of-the-art research facility specialised for studying jellyfish, which is located within Sea World’s Sea Jellies Illuminated exhibit and on display to the public.
