Robbie Porter is a Senior Special Projects Officer with OzFish Unlimited, specialising in large scale shellfish reef restoration across Queensland and Australia. With over eight years of experience, Robbie leads the design, construction, deployment, and monitoring of community driven reef systems that restore habitat, improve water quality, and support coastal biodiversity. He is the inventor of the Robust Oyster Basket (ROB) and the Quilted Oyster Doona (QOD), innovative restoration tools that enable scalable, low cost, and volunteer led reef building across diverse coastal environments. Robbie works closely with First Nations groups, councils, scientists, and community partners, combining practical field methods with strong governance, compliance, and monitoring frameworks to deliver durable and meaningful marine restoration outcomes.
