David Arnold
Geoscience Australia, ACT, Australia
David Arnold is Assistant Director of the Marine Spatial Information team at Geoscience Australia, where his work focuses on the design and delivery of the Australian Marine Spatial Information System (AMSIS). AMSIS brings together authoritative spatial information to provide a clear and accessible understanding of how Australia’s maritime domain is defined and applied in practice, supporting evidence‑based planning and decision‑making.
With nearly two decades of experience in geoscience and spatial data, David has worked across government and with partners to advance marine spatial planning and sustainable ocean management, including supporting emerging offshore renewable energy sectors. His work contributes to a broader national effort to ensure Australia’s maritime domain is clearly understood and effectively managed.
