        Jackson Shields is a postdoctoral researcher with the Australian Centre For Robotics at the University of Sydney. His research focuses on the development and use of benthic imaging Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to support scientific studies. He is building a new AUV that will be used to support a range of scientific studies aboard the Inkfish expeditions, while also investigating novel methods for planning AUV surveys.
