- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.

Jess Harvey is an environmental consultant specialising in environmental impact assessment of marine mammals and seabirds in the offshore renewables industry. She
has experience supporting and coordinating a range of primary and secondary consents in the marine environment, across the UK and Ireland. This has included working on the environmental impact assessments for the UK’s largest proposed offshore wind farm. Through her work at leading HiDef Aerial Surveying, Europe’s largest wildlife aerial survey company, she has become an expert in high-resolution video Digital Aerial Surveys (DAS) methods, which are widely used across Europe for conducting baseline studies and monitoring of seabirds and marine mammals. Jess uses the latest scientific knowledge and data from DAS and other baseline studies to inform robust environmental impact assessments. This includes hands on experience conducting modelling and data analysis to quantify impacts on marine mammals and seabirds and making recommendations for managing and monitoring key impacts. Having moved to Sydney from the UK, Jess now brings her experience to the Australian offshore wind sector.
