Matthew Hewitt is Aquatic Biosecurity Research Scientist at the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) Western Australia and a part time PhD student at Curtin University. His research is focused in understanding the social perceptions of marine biosecurity in Western Australia as well as exploring peoples motivations to engage in introduced marine species early detection programs.
