Tessa is a spatial ecologist with research interests in developing sustainable solutions for biodiversity conservation alongside socioeconomic goals. Her research experience includes systematic conservation planning, marine spatial planning, spatial modelling, and the development of quantitative risk assessment tools. Tessa has been involved in addressing a variety of environmental challenges, including sustainable fisheries management, nature-based solutions, renewable energy planning, optimising protected area design, and working across the science-policy interface.
