Dr Michelle Dyer is a cultural and environmental anthropologist working cross culturally for over 20 years in protected
areas management, social and gender equity, indigenous rights, and sustainable development. She has
worked in applied and academic areas in Australia and internationally as well as government, non-government, not-for-profit sectors,
and consulting. Since 2018 Michelle has been the social science lead for human dimensions and resilience-based
Reef management at the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, Australia.
