- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.

Jadzia is a PhD candidate working on developing and testing new metrics to measure ecosystem recovery and its impacts on humans. She aims to establish historical ecological references for ecosystem integrity and measure the potential for success recovery of key ecosystems, as well as to incorporate the ways humans interact beneficially with nature into assessments of conservation success, with a particular focus on the sustainable ways humans interacted with nature prior to industrialisation and colonisation. She hopes that by demonstrating how healthy ecosystems have been valuable to human communities and that they can be successfully restored, she can contribute to the motivation of conservation policy and funding.
