        Allyson is an academic at the University of Melbourne with research interests in marine pollution and environmental monitoring. She is current Vice-President of AMSA Victoria and, together with the Victorian committee, building member engagement and student support. Over recent years, she has started moving into educational research and is developing a research program in authentic learning experiences. Allyson's projects in this space include creating an international cohort of marine biology students and using design-based research approach to statistics and experimental design teaching.
